Final Settlement in Oman

Final settlement in Oman is the amount payable to an employee when employment ends. It usually includes end-of-service gratuity, unpaid salary, unused annual leave salary, approved allowances, reimbursements and any other contractual dues, after deducting valid recoveries or outstanding amounts.

Under Oman Labour Law, eligible workers who are not covered by the Social Protection Law are entitled to end-of-service gratuity based on the final basic wage, calculated at not less than one basic wage for each year of service. Fractions of a year are calculated proportionately. Unused annual leave at the end of service is generally paid based on the comprehensive wage.

The calculator above helps employers and payroll teams estimate these amounts before preparing the final settlement. However, the final amount should always be checked against the employment contract, payroll records, leave balance, unpaid salary days, previous payments and applicable deductions.

For companies managing employee exits, structured payroll services in Oman can help maintain accurate payroll records, calculate final settlements and reduce disputes during offboarding.
