Leave Salary Calculation Qatar
Leave salary in Qatar is the amount payable for annual leave days that an employee has earned but not used. Under Qatar Labour Law, an employee who completes one continuous year of service is entitled to paid annual leave. The minimum annual leave is three weeks for employees with less than five years of service and four weeks for employees with more than five years of service. Leave for fractions of a year is calculated proportionately.
This Qatar leave salary calculator estimates the employee’s accrued annual leave, deducts leave days already taken or paid, and multiplies the remaining balance by the daily wage. For calculation purposes, the daily wage is estimated by dividing the monthly wage by 30. Employers should confirm whether the calculation should be based on basic wage, full wage or another contractual wage basis before finalising payment.
Leave salary is especially important during resignation, termination or final settlement. If an employment contract ends before the employee has taken the annual leave due, the employee may be entitled to payment in lieu of the unused leave days. Payroll teams should review attendance records, approved leave, unpaid leave, salary changes and contract terms before approving the final figure.
